Over the past couple of years, I have become a serious travel hacker. I love finding new ways to rack up thousands of airlines miles and hotel points by spending very little money. By doing this, it allows my family to be able to travel all across the world at almost no cost.
Frontier Airlines World MasterCard
The newest card that I am looking at is the The Frontier Airlines World MasterCard®. Recently, they announced a new sign-up bonus that makes this card incredibly valuable. They are offering 40,000 miles when you spend just $500 within the first 90 days and and additional 10,000 miles when you do a balance transfer (1 mile per dollar transfered). Those 40,000 miles will get you two round-trip tickets within the United States including Alaska.
Let’s say that you have been thinking about taking a trip to Alaska (which I personally have been). For two people, it would cost a total of 40,000 miles and $10 in fees and taxes. The cost of a flight from Denver, CO to Anchorage, AK for two people would cost $951.82. That means if I were to sign up for the Frontier Airlines credit card, I would be able to get nearly $1,000 worth of travel for free.
When you sign up for this card you will have to pay a $69 annual fee since it’s not waived the first year. Considering that you can get $1,000 in travel, I feel this fee is well worth it. The card does have a 3% foreign transaction fee, so I would not advise using it if you are traveling outside the US.
Discount Companion Tickets
Another bonus to the Frontier Airlines credit card is that you can book companion tickets at a 5,000 mile discount when you have a paid ticket. If you are planning to take a trip to New York, then you would purchase your round trip ticket and then you could purchase a round-trip companion ticket for 15,000 miles instead of 20,000.
Double Miles on Frontier Airlines Purchases
For any Frontier Airlines purchases that you make, you will earn 2 miles per $1 spent. You will earn 1 mile for each $1 spent on all other purchases.
I am constantly on the lookout for new credit cards that have generous sign-up bonuses. The Frontier Airlines credit card is definitely a winner in my book. Being able to earn 40,000 miles for just a $500 spend is one of the best deals out there.
