Personal Finance Week in Review for September 23

by Sean Bryant on September 23, 2012

The mountains of Colorado saw their first snow this week. While the snow was only minimal and has melted by now, it means we are inching closer to snowboarding/ski season. Later this morning I am going to be taking my bike up to get in one of my last mountain rides of the season.

Today marks 5 weeks until my daughter is due to be born. On Tuesday we took the hospital tour during our birthing class. I can’t even tell you how excited I am, however the nerves are really starting to creep into play.

Enough about me and let’s get on with my favorite personal finance posts from this past week. If you want to see your posts on this weekly list all you need to do is return the favor to me.

Sean, I’m jealous – you live in the nature’s playground. Are you looking forward to doing skiing/snowboarding though? Thanks for including my post in your roundup, I really appreciate it!

I am extremely excited for the season to get started. Snowboarding is one of the best ways for me to relax.

Thanks for the mention. We saw a small amount of snow a few weeks ago in the San Juans. I am not ready. Congrats on the upcoming bundle of joy. Very exciting!

I didn’t know you were a fellow Coloradan. I usually snowboard in Summit County and you guys had a much better winter last year then we did up north.

Congrats Sean! That is very exciting to be counting down the days until your baby arrives. So sweet! I know what you mean about ski season coming soon. I live along the Rockies and even though it is still quite warm today, there is snow in the forecast for Friday. Thanks so much for the include too!

Yeah it was 85 here in Denver yesterday but later this week the mountains could see some more snow.
